I thought for sure it hadn't been that long since I'd posted something on here...almost three weeks later I realize that's not the case! The days seem slow but we look back and the weeks are flying by...where is our time going? What have we been up to?
Dave is working hard and having good days as well as bad days. We have been really lucky to have good weather so hopefully that luck will stay with us. I've been hanging out at the pool, working, shopping and reading a lot! When I finish this last book I'm going to write about the pros and cons of getting hooked on the Twilight series...stay tuned!
We bought an exciting new addition to our apartment.
When we first moved in we realized that there was no microwave. We thought we could handle it for the summer but found that lots of things you want to make requires a microwave. On Saturday Dave happened upon this microwave at a garage sale and got it for $5...we call that a "steal of a deal"!
The same day Dave bought the microwave I decided to make some macadamia nut cookies. With the assistance of my friend Tamara we successfully melted the butter in a hot dishwasher and had to use all our elbow grease to make the cookie dough (we also don't have an electric mixer)! The cookies turned out delicious and I had enough cookie dough to make a big heart cookie for Dave. Hip-Hooray for microwaves!

I'm so glad to see a new post--we've been wondering what you guys have been up to! That's so funny that you've gotten hooked on the "Twilight" series; that explains why you haven't posted in so long! :) I've heard they're really good, but I'm waiting until I have a lot of time to read them...maybe if I get put on bedrest or something. I'll look forward to your pros and cons list. Anyway, good to hear from you! I think I'm going to email you so that we can have an actual conversation message. Hope things are going well!
