Scooter

Preface: The picture below is a re-enactment. I would never leave my child like that just so I could get a picture.

This morning I was doing my hair and I had Kiley playing on a blanket in my bedroom, right outside the bathroom door. Lately, she has figured out that she can push herself around on her back. Which isn't helping that huge bald spot on the back of her head but it gets her from A to B. Well, I looked out to check on her and my heart dropped into my stomach, she wasn't where I had left her. I then look at my bed and see these little pink feet sticking out from underneath it. I hurried over and pulled her out. I can tell you she wasn't happy and I don't think it helped that I was laughing so hard. Luckily, she scooted right into one of the bed's support legs preventing her from scooting further under the bed.

The picture below is a re-enactment of how I found her. Like I said at the beginning of this post. I would never leave my baby in a situation like that just for a picture. She was terrified and I felt so bad for her but still doesn't it kind of remind you of the wicked witch of the east (?) who got smashed by the house in the wizard of oz.

This was a good lesson for me to keep a closer watch on Kiley. This girl is going to roll when she wants to but for now we're just going to call her our little scooter.

Just because she's so cute!

I have to admit I laughed out loud...poor little girlie. You never know what they will come up with next, do you?! I just love the picture with the light shinning on her little fuzzy head. Thank you so much for sharing, I miss you all so much!

Oh--that is so sad & so funny! What a cute little girl, and what a good mom for rescuing her right away. Life definitely changes when they learn how to get around on their own! We can't wait to see you guys!

If this little girl wasn't so cute I would never come home.
