Our St. George Date

On Friday Dave and I drove down to St. George to enjoy the gorgeous sunshine. We hiked at Red Cliffs and had a delicious picnic. Afterward we drove down to my grandparents and spent some time with them watching the Jazz game and talking. Dave finally went and saw Enchanted with me and although it was pretty cheesy we both really liked it.

We were planning on staying the weekend so that Dave could sell security systems with his office but unfortunately those plans fell through and we ended up driving back to Provo at midnight. After dodging several sleepy truck drivers we finally made it safely home. It felt like one of the longest drives we've ever done (that's saying something since we've driven across the country twice)! We don't plan on driving that late ever again but we did enjoy our day.

We met a guy who told us that indians had dug out the holes so that we could get around this part of the hike....Dave and I laughed. Dave joked later that the indians also left the rope there for us to use!
Dave was very brave to walk in this river. It was really slimy and felt glacial. We could hardly keep our feet in the water.

Awesome, Eric and I are off to St. George tomorrow morning! By the way I know that it is not your birthday, yet your birthday countdowns are fire-working your birthday's.....hum?
