Happy Birthday to Me!

On Saturday I turned 23! A birthday tradition Dave brought into our family was the toilet paper trail. In the morning you string toilet paper around the house, the birthday person will follow the trail to find their presents. Usually the trail ends up in the kitchen where you have a delicious breakfast.

This year Dave went above and beyond and made me a beautiful necklace. The best part is that he went to a craft store and picked everything out himself. He even strung the beads for the necklace so that I have a variety of different colors and charms to wear. The lady helping Dave told him that he strung beads better than most women she tried to teach...ha ha that's my man.

That afternoon we went sledding at my grandparents house. Growing up this was one of the only places we used to sled and it was always a blast. The only thing I was missing was a big cup of hot chocolate!

The stomach flu was unfortunately making it's rounds at our house so, it was just Dave and I that went out to dinner. We had steak and coconut shrimp at the Outback, yum! Sunday night we had my "cake", brownie peppermint ice cream sundaes. If you could put heaven in a bowl that's what it would taste like. It was a great birthday and I loved spending it with my sweet husband.

Happy birthday old lady! It seems like yesterday I was begging your Mom to let you come tubing with me on Warm River. :)
