Shhh...Could this be a hidden talent?

After Dave made me that necklace for my birthday I started to wonder what other projects I could get him to do with me. We have always been so crazy busy with school and work that we haven't taken a lot of time to notice each others "talents".

So with that said, this was a project we have been working on this week. It's a birthday present for Dave's mom (hopefully she's not checking the blog often). I found the idea on Etsy but Dave and I thought we could make it ourselves.

This is the finished project. The months shown are from July to November...I bet you didn't know that the first letters of those months spelled Jason!

I took this picture of Dave while we were putting the calendar together. He wasn't happy with me taking it but he just looked so cute. If you would have told me three years ago that he would be sitting on the couch with a cutting board and scrapbooking paper, I would have laughed.

To redeem his manly-hood I'll tell you that we watched Lord of the Rings while putting it together and he doesn't help me with all my projects, just the ones that go to moms or his wife :).

That's SO funny. I (Eric)was utterly confused wondering why you would give your mom something spelling JASON! haha. Let your light so shine.....good job, now show me your man card!

That is so funny! Sometimes those boys are surprising (and yes, Curt is good at those kinds of things too...who would've thought?!) I love that you redeemed his manhood at the end...that makes it okay. :)

hahah I was going to write the exact same thing as Cori. I was so confused with the whole jason thing. Thanks for explaining!

I think a man with a cutting board is rugged looking! :)

Very cute calendar idea. Love it! I need to get on that site for some ideas huh?
