I spent my whole weekend making these lovely little flowers to welcome in spring. I've been finding all these great ideas online but never muster up the energy to do them. These cuties pushed me over the edge where I just had to have them in my room. I found them here. On the website they used them as little boutonnieres but they work great in a vase...spring is now indoors!
I was also cleaning out some old kitchen stuff and I found this gem that I made last summer. My crochet attempt is on the left, what it should look like is on the right (my mother in-law made the one that actually looks like a washcloth). I'm not sure why I kept it...maybe for a good laugh because that's what it usually makes me do when I see it.
I was so excited about the peaches and cream color and I thought it would work out but alas it ended up going in something like a circle instead of a square. Not every craft attempt turns out like you originally planned!

I love the flowers, and the washcloth is hilarious! :) Good for you for at least attempting it--I can't say that I've ever even tried something like that. I might just have to make some flowers to "spring" up our little home too! By the way, did you buy Twilight? (Or are you thinking of getting it?) I think we should get together and make the boys watch it with us! :)
