Oh Baby!

This post is going to require some effort on the readers part. I'll give you three clues and you have to guess what this blog post is about...ready?

1. The picture below was taken on our trip to Lake Tahoe in August. Looking at the three in the center going left to right is Dave, my sister Lauren, and me. Your first clue is this, my sister and Dave may be able to stick out there tummies far but right now I can beat both of them without trying.

2. Since July I have had my own parking spot at a local grocery store...no, it is not the handicap parking spot. I also do not use this parking spot when I go to the grocery store.

3. I'll make the last clue really easy. Based on this next picture you should be able to guess what our exciting news is!

That's right, Dave and I are expecting our first baby and we found out last Tuesday it's a little girl. She will be joining our family the end of March and Dave and I can hardly wait for her to get here. I am 20 weeks along so I am 100% positive this is a little girl. She's perfectly healthy as of now and we pray day and night she'll stay that way. We have a couples names picked out but won't decide on any until we actually see her.

In my first trimester I was sick but it lasted about three weeks. I never threw up or had to miss work, it was mostly just annoying. She is unfortunately sitting right on my bladder and even though she's tiny I'm already using the bathroom way too often for my liking.

Dave and I have gone shopping for her but we're really trying not to go overboard. We're hoping to use after Thanksgiving and Christmas sales for the stuff that she'll need. We did get her two very cute onsies that are sitting on our dresser making us even more anxious to hold and snuggle her.

I did include a side profile of my growing belly. I'm having a love/hate relationship with these belly pictures. I love that my body has the ability to do something so amazing but it is really hard to work in an industry that prides itself in making people thin and I just watch myself grow bigger and bigger. I know it's silly and I know this little girl is so worth it! Here's to 20 more weeks of waiting!

So glad everything looks good--hope the rest of the pregnancy keeps going well! We'd like to get together with you guys again soon, and maybe we could even get a babysitter so we could actually go DO something! (We have to get it all out now before you have the baby!)

Oh how very exciting! I'm so happy for you! Although I have to say, my side-shot belly picture would knock you over. Literally, my belly could knock people over. That's what happens at 32 weeks. Just wait...And how exciting to have a baby girl. I'll send Hayden Sue down to you for a while for her girl fix. She's still not sold on the fact that ours is a boy. :)

Oh baby...oh Belly! I love it! Thank you so much for putting yourself through the humiliation of the "belly shots". You begged for them from us, so now it is your turn! It is just going to go by so fast...for me...not for you!
