Uncles

One of those un-anticipated blessings of having a baby is watching your brothers and sisters become uncles and aunts. Since Dave and I are the oldest this is a new experience for both families. I knew they were excited to see her but I didn't realize that they would be this head over heels about having a niece.

Just in the last month we've had an abundance of uncles staying with us. All of Dave's brothers were here one weekend and my brother stayed with me the previous weekend while Dave was working the Wasatch Back. Kiley has 5 uncles and only 2 aunts. So, yes it was an abundance of uncles.

Dave's brothers love Kiley to pieces. They all took their turns holding and loving her. They got a kick out of her new "tricks" and would lay on the floor and listen to her talk. Kiley looks so much more like a Kunz that I think she was just happy to see some familiar faces!

Just this weekend Nate came down and ate dinner with us Friday night. He is so chill about taking care of her. He has no problem taking her out of her car seat or calming her down when she's grumpy, it's awesome.

Last week in the mail Ky got a gift from her uncle Ty who she hasn't met yet because he's serving a mission in Houston, Texas. He had learned to crochet a beanie for her. It was a little small but sweet all the same.

I think she looks like a little Jewish baby, ha ha.

She may not know it now but Kiley has some pretty awesome uncles. We love you guys!

It IS so fun to see your brothers fall in love with your child. My brothers LOVE Tucker, and he can always get them in a good mood. And yes, Tucker does need a brother, and yes, we DO need to get together! I keep forgetting to call you...but I promise we'll go over our calendar & call you guys this week! By the way, Kiley is so adorable (as always), and getting so big!!!
