A week to remember!

What a busy week! Dave is in the process of hiring an accountant at work and I've been lucky enough to act as his secretary. We screened over 100 applicants and narrowed it down to 20. I'm happy to say that only a few mistakes were made in the process. For example, one applicant had two printed resumes so he ended up in the interview pile and no interview pile. I'm sure he was surprised to see a rejection email and then later that day get a call asking him to come in to interview. All I can say is, "I'm only human."

Saturday we went to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy. We went with our good friends the Smiths and had so much fun watching their little boy Tucker running around saying fish. I'm starting to realize that everything is more fun with kids. Kiley actually really enjoyed watching the colorful fish dart around in their tanks. Dave even touched a sting ray, gross. Just watching their bodies flop around in the water makes my skin crawl.

The news to top all news for the week is that Dave and I just bought our first home! We found the house on Monday, were approved for the loan Tuesday, put the offer in on Wednesday, and agreed to the counter offer by Friday. Our scheduled closing date is August 24th! The house is in Farmington, just 10 minutes from where Dave works. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. For me, the most exciting part is we have a two car garage, a beautiful master bathroom, and a dishwasher. I've been washing our dishes by hand for the last year and a half, yeah I'm kinda being a cry baby.

I was always amazed at those people who would find a house and close on it so fast but now I totally understand. When it's right, it's just right!  I'll post more pictures later this week of the inside.

Love that aquarium and so did Hadley! The house is so cute- you will loving owning a house! It feels good to drive down the road seeing all the people with snow on their cars or who had to scrape off the frost and you didn't! Yay for garages!!
