9.5 Months Old

I have been terrible at doing updates on Kiley. So without further ado here is 9.5 month old Kiley.

At the beginning of December she started crawling for the first time. For a baby who was rather content staying in one place she has become quite a handful. She is into everything! She loves pulling herself up on anything that will stay still. Dave and I have even watched as she daringly lets go of things to stand on her own. Her favorite spots in the house are the doors and door stops. We have those funky coil door stops and she can't get enough of the noises they make when she hits them.

Kiley has been doing this cheesy smile where she proudly shows off her two bottom teeth which were acquired in November. This smile is as cheesy as they get and it cracks me up every time I see her doing it. I think the smile came at the same time she realized she could make people laugh.  If she sees you laughing at what she's doing, she will do whatever it is over and over to get some attention.  Hence, the nose crinkling smile will always get a laugh and so the nose crinkling will continue.

This kid loves flipping through pages in books. It's kind of a battle we have whenever I try to read to her. She wants to flip through the book as fast as possible while I'm trying to read her the story. Eventually, I give up and she tears through the book front to back then back to front. Her favorite book is the Polar Bear book by Eric Carle.

She loves when we sing to her. I can always get her to quiet down if I sing her songs. Her favorite song is patty cake. While my foot was broken my mom came over and was teaching Kiley the sounds of the alphabet, A is for Apple Ah ah ah and so on. Kiley thought it was hilarious and laughed and laughed. She gets a real kick out of the letter b and p.

When we are driving in the car she has to have her country music playing. I kid-you-not she loves country. If it's on and she can hear it she will be happy as a clam. If she can't hear her Tim McGraw we're in trouble. Can I just say that I was actually really impressed with the country Christmas music this year.

Seriously, she's cute through and through. Dave and I love her to pieces. I have the best job ever!

She is so super cute! I love these pictures! I can't believe how much she's grown up since we last saw you guys...it's been way too long. Curt will hopefully be back in town Wednesday night, so maybe we can try to get together this weekend? I'm just not sure if he has any other random jobs lined up yet or not (if anything is pressing, he might have to work Saturday), so we'll get back to you. Love this post, though! And I can't wait to see Kiley (& you & Dave) again soon!

She is SO cute! And getting so big! Good that she already know that country is the best kind of music! :)

I miss you all so much! Kiley is just too cute for words. She has such a great mommy who sings and reads to her. She is a lucky little girl and you and David are such sweet parents. Thanks for posting, I look forward to it more than you know!!
