Hee Haw Farm

Saturday night we met Curt and Holly and their boys at Hee Haw Farms. The farm had a petting zoo, corn pit, hay ride, and pony rides to name a few.

The first place we started was the petting zoo. Some of Kiley's favorite books are about farm animals so we were anxious to see what she thought of them in real life. She was terrified of touching the goats and sheep. Dave was able to convince her to finally pet a baby goat. She loved watching the chickens and the pigs were her favorite. She would constantly go back to the fence and yell "oin-oin" at them.

Her and Tucker spent a lot of time in the corn pit where they played and dug in the corn kernels. I think the adults all decided that corn may be the next best sand box filler. It's not nearly as dirty as sand and it's actually fun to play in.

We then went on a hay ride and picked a pumpkin in a real pumpkin patch. Kiley loved walking around to inspect each pumpkin. We now have a cute little Kiley size pumpkin for our front porch.

My favorite part of the night (besides hanging out with some very good friends) was when Kiley went up to a complete stranger and held out her hand for a doughnut. I was mortified but the lady was really nice and gave her one. Looks like we need to teach Kiley some stranger danger.

What a fun day! We have something like Hee Haw Farm too, it's called Vala's Pumpkin Patch. We go every year and have a ball. But I would trade it all to go to Hee Haw with you three. Thanks for sharing the darling pictures. Love to all.
