This last week Dave and I have been really stewing over future job prospects . Dave received an offer last week from a marketing group in NYC, wahoo someone is actually hiring! We also had the option to live in PA while Dave's family is on their mission...what to do? Free rent or paying an arm and leg to live in Manhattan? Stay in a beautiful home or studio apartment? Tough choice but we decided to go sell security again and live in Philadelphia after the summers over.
Actually, this summer is going to rock because we're staying ON THE beach in Northern New Jersey. We're 45 minutes from NYC. Don't hesitate to visit! If you can't make it out this summer we'll be in Philadelphia for at least the next three years.
We decided to go through some of our old boxes that we haven't opened for almost a year. One nice thing about moving is we don't collect a lot of junk. Here are some of the treasures we found.
I'm a little embarrassed to post this picture but I think I may have an obsession with Harry Potter. I have 2 copies of the first through sixth books, too many you say, I guess I would have to agree.
I love this copy of the sixth book. I found it on Amazon when we were living in Baltimore, I really needed a book to read and found this gem. It must be the version they sell in England because some wording is different than my other copy of the book.
I also found this cute scrapbook page made by my dear friend Cori who was my freshman roommate. We had so much fun living in Heritage Halls with Holly, Shaunelle, Sarah, and Kelsey. Let me explain the face paint, one night Cori decided she wanted to paint my face and so to make it even I painted hers...we were freshman what can I say. I also used to call her Cori-hor, yes like in the scriptures, what a good sport. Thanks for making this Cori!
This last picture is mostly for Holly. Curt, the very talented one shown below, was Dave's roommate before and after their missions. Curt and Holly are some of our best friends and this picture just made me laugh. I can only imagine what these boys did for fun before they "grew up".
Sometimes it's worth keeping all the junk because you can find some real laughs.

That picture is hilarious!!! How funny! And I remember that fun night with Cori and the face paint. Oh, the single years...! :) It's so fun to go through old "junk." Curt and I were looking through some old pictures when we were trying to find the original "Pokey" clay-mation, and we found lots of random funny things. So fun! Thanks for coming down the other night--it was so fun! We need to get together as much as we can before you leave for the summer! Congrats on making a decision! We will definitely have to come visit.
Oh, Hailes! I remember painting your face and how you were worried about breaking out from face paint. I think I'm going to have to go through some of my old pictures and find the "blackmail Hailey" pictures. I loved being a Freshman with you! Maybe we'll see you in PA too. Can we live with you and have free rent too?
Yahoo!!! PA and NY here we come. Are children welcome? :)
I am sooooo happy that you decided to kick it with us this summer again! It will be so much fun (living on the beach, honestly who wouldn't!!) Did you notice the Golds Gym at our apartments...We will have to have some group weight training classes set up with all the wives (you will of course be our trainer:)
We have an English version of Harry Potter, Goblet of Fire. It came out in the UK before the US, so I bought a copy when I was there on business. You will have to add it to your collection.
How fun that you guys are coming out again this summer! I just can't wait!! When are you guys getting there? I wish we could ditch the snow we've been getting and head to the beach today!! But I guess we have to stick around for graduation. But I guess we'll see you fairly soon!! Yay!!!
