I don't know if any of you have seen Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler but there's a part in the movie where the king (from one of the stories) claims he's looking for someone to run the kingdom and they, of course, will be his "new bestest buddy." I'm not sure why I like it so much but it's a great movie. If you haven't seen it go rent it!
Well, Dave is traveling again for work and this is only his second week! This trip is a little different though. He's at a running expo in Philadelphia and gets to stay with his family. I know he really wanted a chance to go home before his family moved to Nebraska and wouldn't you know it, it all worked out. So, while Dave's been gone Gabby, my family's dog, has been my bestest buddy. We go on walks and she sleeps on Dave's pillow at night so I don't feel so lonely (sorry sweetie I'll wash it before you come home).
My job search has been rather pathetic but I was able to get a job as a trainer at a Personal Training Gym and was also offered a job at the Sports Plex where Dave's office is. I might try to juggle both and end up going crazy in the end, we'll just have to see. We were also fortunate enough to find an apartment. It's right in the heart of Kaysville and just kiddie-corner to where I'll be working...perfect. It's scary ugly on the outside but super cute on the inside. It has a nice big yard and deck which will be fun. I never thought in a million years we would be living in Kaysville but alas here we are.
Dave and I celebrated our three year wedding anniversary Wednesday. We went to Park City to shop, of course, and then ate at the Outback. I had my first ever blooming onion...I know it has a lot of calories, don't tell me the number because I just might scream. Dave was so excited about it, he loves the Outback, and so I had to try it just once. It was pretty good but I thought my sweet potato was just as delicious.

Happy Anniversary! And congrats on the jobs and apartment!!! The apartment looks so cute! When do you move in? Have you already started working? What are your schedules like? I really need to just call you to get all these updates in person. We are so excited to get together again. And now that you'll have your own place, maybe we can try to come visit you instead of you always having to come down here? Anyway, I will try to call you tomorrow to see if we can set up a time to get together. Congrats again! We are so happy for you guys.
Sounds like everything is working out just about perfectly for you both. SOOOO happy for you. As for the bloomin' onion...that is ONE high calorie food I can totally live without. Motza sticks are way yummier! :)
Hey this is Mary...I can't remember if I've commented before but I just read about dave's job! I ran the very first ragnar relay (back then it was called the wasatch back) and it was AWESOME! My really good friend works for them too--his name is Bremen leak. Congrats!!! We should meet up for dinner in slc sometime!
