Home Sweet Home

Every time we move I am reminded of how much I hate it. First you have to pack up all the junk then move it to your new place. Then unpack all your junk and find new ways to organize all the JUNK. At least when you move a lot, you find you need less and less. We don't accumulate nearly as much as we could if we stayed put for a year or two.

Along with the pain of moving comes the joy of learning the problems that apartments have. The last week has been spent working out some of the kinks. Funny how the tenants before you don't tell you about certain problems like the locks are impossible to use and the hot water and cold water are mixed up in the shower.

Seriously though, we love the place and it's been fun buying furniture and dragging out all our decorations from boxes. Below are some sneak-peak pictures of what it looks like so far. Some of our furniture has been donated (mostly from my grandparents) while some of it is ours. We are still sleeping on an air mattress and would like any suggestions on good mattresses!!

Dave and I got the shelves from IKEA...I love IKEA. I had to convince him that the books looked better organized by color, don't you agree.

As long as I can remember my family has always had a papasan. We would take the cushion off the bowl part and trap each other underneath it. Actually, Lauren and I would cage Ty in it but that was before he got bigger than both of us.

We have this cute little deck and backyard. I'm trying really hard to restrain myself from buying a patio set and barbecue. A bed must come first!

Intelli-Gel all the way if you want to spend a pretty penny on a awesome bed (go in the store and lay on one and you'll never go back!)

The books definitely look better by color!

Look here is the address to the store closest to you...man I should be a sales person!

You have a decorating knack. Something I lack INCREDIBLY. As for matress suggestions....I will be listening too. Leonard and I are having our TEN YEAR anniversary this year and we still sleep on my parent's hand-me-down mattress. Yeah...I'm pretty sure it's the one I was concieved on! EWWW! :)
