Last night was our first night sleeping on our brand new bed. I was determined this weekend to find a bed and get it home ASAP. So, Friday night we ordered it and Saturday night we picked it up. I love this bed! It's a Simmons pillowtop mattress. We planned on getting a queen but after thinking about it we just couldn't help but get the king. When we were first married, our apartment was furnished and had two twin beds in it. Being lazy and a little cheap we just pushed the two twins together and had a king. We actually loved the big bed and figured we would just stick with the king. Last night I dreamt about that story the Princess and the Pea. She just could never get comfortable on her tower of mattresses but I figured, in the dream, it was because she didn't have a Simmons. I'm so happy we're no longer sleeping on an air mattress.
We also went out to dinner last night with my parents to celebrate Dave's new job. We always joked with them that as soon as Dave got a job we would take them out to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate. Almost a month after Dave started with Ragnar we got to go. This was my first time so I got the ribs and Dave had a small steak and ribs. The dinner rolls were awesome and the ribs were also pretty delicious. The only thing that kind of bugged me was they made their veggies taste like their meat, it was all covered in bacon fat. Kind of gross but I guess it is a steak house.
For Memorial Day we plan on hiking until our feet fall off. We haven't been since our trip to St. George and I have had the bug to go for awhile. I hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend!

I have to admit Lance and I are pretty jealous. Dave told him to lay down on it last night and when Lance came home he was like OH MAN CHELS, OUR MATTRESS IS BAD. Guess that's going to be the next thing on our buy list. I have a feeling if we got a new one neither one of us would ever want to get out of bed.
When we come to town....I'm going to sneak in and sleep on your bed. :)
Yea! You got a mattress! Where did you end up finding it? The only bad thing about having a nice mattress is that you'll REALLY miss it when you travel--nothing will compare!
