Over the weekend I gave Dave a haircut. Yes, that's right, I actually summoned up the courage and cut my husband's hair. I know lots of wives do this and I should have known that Dave would ask me eventually. Dave grew up having his mom cut his hair. The whole thing started after experiencing a truly horrific haircut. I think he came home with one side shaved and the other side almost untouched...probably not the best look for Dave or anyone really. Actually, I take that back. If you watched last season of American Idol, Adam Lambert had kind of that same look. Really long hair on one side but short on the other...Dave could have started that trend years ago.
I guess you could say this wasn't my first time cutting Dave's hair, I have done it once before. It was right before he started his new job with Ragnar and that weekend I thought it would be a great idea for him to have a new haircut to go along with the new job. I had no idea what I was doing but I was pretty sure I could figure it out. Well, halfway through the haircut I thought I was going to throw up, what was I thinking I was cutting his hair right before he started a new job! In the end we both survived and Dave was a good sport about it. Luckily his hair grows very fast and just a month later I'm doing it all over again.
This time our wonderful next door neighbor just happened to be dropping something off the same time I was "chopping locks" and gave me some great advice, thanks Chels. I was able to finish in under an hour without any desires to throw up, mission accomplished.
Today, Dave's work was doing inventory on a trailer they use for all of the races. Dave volunteered to take the leftovers to DI using the companies F450. How convenient that DI is closed on Monday. We have the truck at our apartment right now and Dave is just in heaven. It's this bright orange Ford and it's massive! We rifled through all the DI piles and came away with two space heaters, deck chairs, three tall boxes full of glade air fresheners (don't ask) and duffel bags. I love free stuff!

You make me laugh! Glad I could help. It looks awesome though. I would have been so chicken if I was you and it wouldn't have looked like that if I would have done it not knowing how or where to even start so GOOD JOB! I still want to come snag some of those fresheners from ya, since I came and stole everything from ya yesterday, I might as well keep on going! I did go to the store and buy some butter and eggs! So come help yourself. Ha ha!
VERY nice hair cut! :)
Do they have any black square dining sets in there for "DI" that you could send my way?
I bet driving that truck is a testosterone rush and riding up so high makes you feel 'king of the road'.
Great job on the haircut Hailey! Reading about it makes me SO glad that Curt just shaves his head--it was always such a stressful thing when I tried to cut his hair. And WOW what a truck! Now that we've finally seen your place, I can appreciate how big the truck really is, sitting in your driveway! And to comment on your side note--yes, we need to try out the soda fountain and ice cream machine. We haven't yet, but we'll be sure to invite you down when we do! :)
