Wow, I'm a slacker. I'm just now getting around to putting pictures up from our fun trip to Omaha. This was Kiley's first time flying and she did great. Puffs and daddy's water bottle ended up being all she needed. Oh and an hour long nap was key to pain-free traveling. Notice the red cheeks and fluffy hair.
We always love going to visit Dave's family especially now that we have Kiley. This was there second time seeing her since she was born and she has changed a lot in the last 6 months. She is sitting up on her own, eating baby food, and sprouted two teeth right before we left.
This was Dave and I's third time visiting Omaha and every time we go I'm amazed at how much there is to do there. Our first day we visited Boy's Town and walked around their campus. Boys town was started to take in young boys who were left on the streets of Omaha. Today, they help troubled youth. The highlight of the trip for Kiley was sitting on this giant ball made entirely of stamps.
The next day was Sunday. We had church in the morning and after church we enjoyed relaxing and playing with Kiley. I'm pretty sure I passed out for two hours that day because the night before Kiley was up almost the whole night. Teething has not been fun for her or us!
I'm getting some of my days mixed up but one of the days we were there we went to visit this beautiful building. It is the Holy Family Shrine. The inside of the church is complete glass which allows you to look out at the rolling hills of Omaha.
We also went to the Durham museum which showcases the history of Omaha. This is one of the only pictures I have from the museum. Kiley in front of a mural of downtown Omaha.
Our trip would not have been complete without a visit to the Zoo. This zoo is amazing! It was our third time going and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time we went. My favorite was the butterfly exhibit which was new to me. There were clouds of butterflies flying all over the place, it was pretty neat.
This little animal wouldn't keep her socks on even though it was freezing outside!
Another favorite is the aquarium where they have a glass tunnel that you can walk through with sharks, fish, and this giant turtle swimming above you.
The week we had in Omaha was way too short and we miss the Kunz family already. The picture below was a running list of all the words they could think of to describe Kiley. Some of them are a little far fetched (as far as spelling goes) but you get the idea. We can't wait for our next trip to Omaha!
